HOW TO JOIN OUR ORDINARY ACTS OF EXTRAORDINARY LOVE

Now that we’ve had a chance to introduce the heart, head, hands, and feet of Village of Grace, we thought we’d start the conversation on what you can do to join.

As a reminder, (or introduction for those of you who have just found our community), the purpose of Village of Grace is to relieve poverty and advance education for orphaned and underprivileged children living in Kinshasa, DR Congo. We are passionate about helping not only the vulnerable children in the Democratic Republic of Congo but also their communities and the entire country to thrive. Our inspiration and very roots were founded in our faith. We are a Christ-centred organization looking to be the hands and feet of Jesus who believe we are called to serve those around us. We are Built on Love, Steeped in Grace, and take seriously the call to care for our brothers and sisters around the world. His grace sustains us all and allows us to be abundantly blessed as we live our lives to bless others. So, how can you become a part of our great calling and walk alongside our commission of benefiting these children on the other side of the world?

Most importantly, you can join us in praying for the children of the DRC as well as the women that care for them daily. You can pray for our board that God would guide our decisions, and multiply all that is given to us. You can pray for Ismael, our on-the-ground liaison who tirelessly gives of herself to make sure our children are fed, educated, and kept healthy. And you can pray for guidance in whatever ways you are being called (or nudged) to help us as we continue to make a difference in these important lives. We pray that they would feel God’s presence and love as we send our love and resources to help them thrive.

Obviously, the ability to do the work we have been called to requires funding. What started out small has already expanded to help more children through the generosity of individuals just like you! There are many ways that you can choose to walk alongside our mission through financial gifts, or donations, and every bit counts. Specifically, right now, Village of Grace is preparing for our annual silent auction and is looking for any goods or services you wish to donate. You may choose to start your own fundraiser to help raise money for birthdays, graduations, or special events. Perhaps you decide to replace some of your store-bought giftings with charitable gifts and donations in honour of someone special? Whether you are giving a one-time gift, monthly donations, or beginning a Facebook fundraiser, your generosity is the very fuel that allows us to do what we do!

You can also be an integral part of helping Village of Grace grow! By supporting our social media accounts on Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and Twitter, while liking and sharing our posts. You can use your voice to be a voice to those in need. Exposure is the catalyst for allowing us to reach more children and give the best care possible to not only help these children survive but thrive!
